Two Big Battles Loom This Weekend Inside Star-Ledger Top 20

Don Bosco Prep, the #1 team all season in the Star-Ledger Top 20, hasn't had many problems proving itself worthy of its state and national rankings this year. However, after solid wins over tough national powers De La Salle (CA) and Prattville (AL), the Ironmen will be tested within the Jersey border Saturday night when they face arch-rival Bergen Catholic. BC is currently ranked #10 in the latest Star-Ledger rankings.

These two aren't strangers to each other, and it seems like each game is a gudge match. The last time they met was in the 2008 New Jersey Non-Public Group IV championship game. DBP won that one 34-13. You can check-out those highlights below.

DBP/Bergen Catholic is a fiercely competitive series in which Don Bosco holds a 28-26 advantage with two ties.

Two future DBP opponents, St. Joseph (Montvale) and St. Peter's Prep, will also square-off on Friday. St. Joe's is #2 in this week's Star-Ledger rankings, while St. Peter's is #6.

Now here's a look at the latest rankings that saw some changes for the first time in two weeks. Entering the poll this week are Roxbury at #19 and Toms River East at #20. Dropping out were former #12 Camden Catholic and former #18 Linden.
