Carty Takes Over At Bound Brook

Bound Brook High School has chosen its new head coach, who will go perfectly with its new league.

28-year old Kevin Carty will lead Bound Brook into its inaugural season in the Skyland Conference this fall, which should be an easy transition thanks to Carty's experience with the league. Carty led Somerville to the Skyland Conference Raritan Division title in 1994 while playing quarterback for his dad, who this year will begin his 13th year at the head man at Somerville.

Pictures From Phillipsburg High School's Maloney Field

Phillipsburg High School is the winningest football program in New Jersey. Last year the Stateliners won North 2 Group 4 championship last season, which came on the heels of a runner-up finish in 2004.

P'burg, as it's know to the locals, is the place to be when the Stateliners are at home. 7,000-plus rabid Garnet and Gray fans always pack Maloney Field.

Last month I took a trip to the Garden State, and I'd like to share some of the photos from this great high school football field. If you're ever in Phillipsburg on a Friday night and the Liners are at home, this is a don't miss for the true high school football fan.
