New Jersey High School Football Huddle
Having grown-up on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey it always amazed me out different the two states were when it came to pre-season high school football.
Because I covered the Easton (PA) Red Rovers and Phillipsburg (NJ) Stateliners, I was always acutely aware of the differences, especially since P'burg, which competed in the East Penn Conference in Pennsy, always started practice several weeks after the rest of their opponents. Tough road to hoe!
Things have changed though.
Today is the first official day of practice in the Garden State and Chuck Gormley of the Courier-Post out of Cherry Hill takes a look at how Jersey has caught-up with the times.
